This photo just makes me laugh, it's a fantastic, dramatic potraits of dogs. The website I found it on is full of great tips on how to photograph dogs too, it that's what you're into. This photo is just solemn and beautiful and happy at the same time.

Source: The Dallas Observer/ Gavin Cleaver A giant fork designed by Switzerland's artist Jean-Pierre Zaugg to commemorate Nestle's Alimentarium Food Museum 10th anniversary has been set up on Lake of Geneva , Switzerland.
I thought it was a rather unconventional image that evokes some interest. People will look at this and say, "Is that...a giant fork in the middle of a lake?" The angle of the photo also helps capture the sculpture in its entirety. We should focus on our angles when taking photos. Source: Fabrice Coffrini/Getty Images Poster: Ridah Somehow a photographer caught this moment on camera instead of helping the poor guy. Besides that, it's an amazing photo and really captures the scene. In this picture, it seems that time stands still. Obviously it doesn't, but this would be a good strategy for sports photos and other times where there is a lot of acton.
Source: NBC News Poster: Hannah This picture is so real, so vibrant, that it almost looks like a painting. The greenery around the volcano is deceptive; if you just look at that part it seems normal.
Source: NBC News Poster: Hannah This photo captured my attention because of all the color in the picture, used to show the excitement of the event, as well as the mass of people. The angle on the photo is also interesting because bird's eye view photos are not as common.

Poster: Sanobar Chagani The photo above shows one of NASA'S deep sapce satelites that almost collided with some asteroids. This photo is a good example of timing and trying to the right picture at the right time.
Source: NASA Poster: Miles I chose this photo because it displays liveliness through the movement of the two girls. It also provides a exaggeration between the small girls and the large pumpkin patch. The photo was included in a story with places to find pumpkin patches, corn mazes, and hayrides. Poster: Sanobar Chagani I like this picture because it is creative how they manipulated size and effectively created a creepy mood for the reader since it is dealing with Ebola. They used the stretcher to show that the patient was taken away to be further tested by people in full body protection. We could try to incorporate size manipulation and black and white effects for our photos. Source: Karin Huster/NY Times Poster: Olivia The photo above is a picture of a WW2 era plane that was found in dense jungle between China and India. This is a good example of going out to find things that can sometimes be hidden but make for a good photo or story. Poster: Miles Source: Clayton Kuhles/Fox News The significance of this photo lies not in the background, but rather the foreground, in this case the surfer. Represented as the focal point of the image, the surfer is the first thing that you see. The crashing waves around him are perceived to be a dangerous situation due to the relative size difference between either element.
Poster: Danish Source: Chris Carlson / AP This young girl is being escorted outside of her village in the Freeman Reserve becasue she had symptoms of Ebola. This picture stuck out to me because obviuosly she's not the only victim of this disease, but the picture makes it seem in a way that she is alone in her struggle.
Source: NBC News Poster: Hannah This photo shows a very well shot of a Ford GT40 taken at high speed. It is a good action shot picture to refrence, and also taken at a good angle with good detail in the background. Source: LeMans Archive
Poster: Miles This is a photo of a recent eruption that occurred in Japan. If you hadn't read story, you would probably think the white all around is snow, and that's why I like this photo. It looks so peaceful and serene even though it caused destruction.

Source: Chris McGrath/Getty Images Poster: Ridah This graphic is about new companies with potential to become great. It captured my attention because it combined a graphic with an actual photo and combined them both to create a cool picture graphic hybrid. We could do this to mix up the graphics for our stories so they are not just pictures or graphics, but both.
Source: CNN/Doug Gross Poster: Olivia This photo portrays a prized animal at the State Fair. I picked the photo because the angle is unique and the photographer was not afraid, as some are, to take a close-up picture.
Source: Dallas Morning News/Brandon Wade Poster: Olivia The photo portrays the world's largest swimming lesson. I chose this photo because it has movement, and it captures the girl's struggling emotion as she faces her adversity of swimming. Source: Tampa Bay Times, Brendan Fritterer Poster: Sanobar Chagani |
