This photo gallery reminds that there are people out there who lost a loved one in war and every photo is so powerful and emotional that they are visually telling us their depressing story through the lens.

Source: CNN.com/Michael A. Mariant Suits That Move is a fashion ad. I think fashion photography has a lot to contribute to journalism. Fashion is about creating a fantasy, and the methods used to create that fantasy is useful in a journalistic setting as well. In this case, the cool tones are really powerful and the poses all emphasize the whole "suits that move" thing.

Poster: Raven Source: DMN The more I look at this photo, the more I like it. It's like she's frozen in time, yet the photo is so in the moment. The colors and her Mona Lisa-like expression get this picture an A in the photo elements we all know and love.
Poster: Megan Source: NBC This picture shows the harsh conditions that workers in Qatar are going through, to build multiple quality stadiums by 2022 for the Qatar World Cup. It is ironic how the workers are in a very harsh condition to build the soccer stadiums, while the stadiums will be very high quality.
